Taylor Swift thrilled many Swifties as she made her big announcement on a Yahoo! livestream, co-sponsored by ABC News.
Taylor unleashed three surprises for her fans – her new album, a new single and a new music video in a 30-minute livestream on Yahoo Screen.
She shared details on her ‘first documented pop album’, ‘1989’ (named for the year she was born) that is said to be inspired by 80’s pop music.
She also debuted her new single, “Shake It Off” with a new music video where she plays different characters with her signature red lips. The new single is inspired by a lesson she learned over the past years. “People can say whatever they want about us, at any time and we cannot control that,” she said. “The only thing we can control is our reaction to that.”

‘1989’ , Swift’s fifth album, is set to be released on October 27 which can be pre-ordered through her website.
