Tanning has always been in fashion, but all the processes of doing so are not safe. A 27-year-old Tawny Willoughby is one of the examples who suffered from a deadly disease of skin cancer. The Alabama girl was diagnosed with skin cancer at the age of 21 simply because she laid down during her teenage days in tanning bed regularly, up to five times a week.

The mother of a two-year-old boy suffered from basal cell carcinoma (BCC) five times and once from squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).

Now, to spread the awareness she has taken a unique initiative. She has shared her graphic selfies of her suffering days on Facebook. With it she is also encouraging others to avoid tanning bed and opt for wearing sunscreen and spray tan.

Currently she visits dermatologist once or twice a year to have the skin cancer removed from her skin in each checkup.
