Indonesia defeated the Philippines, 25-22, 25-20, 25-14, in the opening match of women’s volleyball at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) held in Singapore on Wednesday, June 10.

Aprilia Manganang from Indonesia scored high with 13 points on 12 kills including a block. Maya Kurnia Indri Sari and Amalia Fajrina Nabila contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively.

UAAP two-time MVP Alyssa Valdez earned in double figures for the Philippines with 15 points. Jaja Santiago added 7 markers and a block while Rachel Anne Daquis had 4.
