Rep. Leni Robredo’s Photo Waiting For A Bus To Get Home To Naga Goes Viral

A photo of Camarines Sur Rep. Maria Leonor “Leni” Gerona Robredo is making rounds online after she was photographed alone at night waiting along the highway in Makati City for a bus to get to her family’s residence in Barangay Tabuko in Naga.

The viral picture shared on Facebook was taken by Robredo’s friend Keisha del Castillo and she captioned it: “The art of riding the bus to Naga: if you can’t catch it in Cubao, you can always try to flag it down at the Magallanes Shell Station. Like Cong. Leni Robredo.”

On December 5, Leni, the lawmaker, lawyer and widow of Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo, shared the photo on her Facebook page and confirmed that she was the woman waiting for a bus ride. She wrote: “Yes, that is definitely me. Taken by Keisha del Castillo at the Magallanes Shell Station as I was waiting for my bus last night. Keisha brought me there from McKinley Hill in Taguig after I delivered my Freedom Speech for FNF (Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom). Definitely my worst angle but can’t resist posting. Nakakatawa lang. Parang nag alsa-balutan at naglayas ang drama.”

Leni has earned praises from Pinoy netizens for her humble ways.
