Rachelle Ann Go Bags Role as Fantine in West End’s ‘Les Miserables’

Rachelle Ann Go took to Twitter to share her excitement as she has officially been named as Fantine in London’s West End production of the musical hit, ‘Les Miserables’.

“I guess it’s official! I will be FANTINE!!!! Aaaaaaaahhhhh”, says Go on her tweet posted on May 11 where she also includes the link of the official site of Les Miserables announcing the new and returning cast of the musical which will start on June 15, 2015 at the Queen’s Theatre.

The announcement was made on Monday through the Les Miserables official Twitter account.

Before bagging the role of Fantine in ‘Les Miserables’, Go received multiple awards for her portrayal as hardened bar girl Gigi in “Miss Saigon” revival.

Go will join Peter Lockyer as Jean Valjean, Rob Houchen as Marius, Carrie Hope Fletcher as Eponine, and Bradley Jaden as Enjolras.

Lea Salonga previously played Fantine in the 25th anniversary production of “Les Miserables”, 15 years after she portrayed Eponine in the musical’s 10th anniversary staging. “FINALLY YOU CAN TELL EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!! Congratulations on this new adventure, Shin!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!,” says Salonga in one of her tweets.

Les Miserables, known for its memorable songs “I Dreamed A Dream”, “Bring Him Home”, “One Day More” and “On My Own.”
