Ilongga beauty Angelia Ong made history as she gives Philippines a back-to-back win in the Miss Earth pageant held Saturday, December 5 (early morning Sunday, December 6 in Manila) in Vienna, Austria.
Ong, who bested 85 women to claim the crown, succeeded Miss Earth 2014 and fellow Filipina Jamie Herrell.
“We will, because we can,” Ong answered when asked during the question and answer portion of the pageant when she was asked to come up with slogan for the next 15 years of Miss Earth.
“I want to let everybody know that all things are possible and all things are feasible if we work together. We will, because we can,” she explained.
Australia’s Dayana Grageda was crowned Miss Earth Air, Miss Earth Water is USA’s Britanny Ann Payne
and Brazil’s Thiessa Sickert was named Miss Earth Fire.
