The mother of Angelica Yap, also known as “Pastillas Girl,” was shot dead by an unknown gunman who immediately fled the scene in Caloocan City, Sunday night.
In a report from ABS-CBN, the gunman approached Teresa Yap from behind and shot her at close range while she was on her way to eat at a roadside eatery with one of her daughters and niece. She sustained a gunshot wound in the back of the head and the incident was caught in the closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera of Barangay 131.
According to one of her relatives, Tumping Fabian, Yap received a lot of death threats via text messages saying that she will be finished before Christmas, however Yap allegedly ignored the threats.
In an article written by Darla Sauler on darlasauler.com, they were able to rush her to the hospital but was declared dead minutes later.
Investigations are still ongoing about the incident.
