“My Husband’s Lover” Gets International Emmy Nomination

GMA Network’s top-rating and controversial TV series “My Husband’s Lover” was nominated for an International Emmy Award under the Telenovela category, the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences said in a post on its website.

“My Husband’s Lover” was aired from June to October of 2013 and starred Carla Abellana, Tom Rodriguez and Dennis Trillo in the lead roles.

“My Husband’s Lover” told the story of a married man who secretly led a homosexual life.

The three other nominees in the Telenovela category were: 30 Lives: Maxim Bouchard from Canada, Belmonte from Portugal, and Precious Pearl from Brazil.

The International Emmy Awards are given by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to recognize excellence in television produced outside of the United States. This year’s awards will be presented to the winners on November 24 at the New York Hilton Hotel.
