Pope Francis, who will visit the Philippines next year, relayed his gratitude to actress-author Rita Avila for sending him copies of her books.
Avila received a letter from Monsignor Peter B. Wells, an official of the Vatican Secretariat of State, expressing the Pope’s gratitude for the books titled “The Invisible Wings” and “8 Ways to Comfort with Grace.” She posted a copy of the letter she received from the Vatican on her Instagram account.
Avila also expressed gratitude not only to Pope Francis, but also to all the people who have helped in promoting her books.
In an interview with Manila Bulletin, Avila said her first book “8 Ways to Comfort with Grace” came about while grieving the loss of her child. The book is a compilation of how she and other friends, who also lost their loved ones, console each other.
“The Invisible Wings,” on the other hand, is “about siblings who want to do good things everyday for the love of God.”
