Claudine Barretto on Monday shared an old, hand-written love letter from her late ex-boyfriend Rico Yan on her Instagram account.
The love letter was accompanied with a snapshot of their polaroid photo and she wrote: “We @tinamarieyan miss u terribly.”
“To my hunny,
By the time you read this, I must be in CDO already. Just want to thank you for last night. You were wonderful!!! And because of that, I’m sure I’m gonna have a hard time sleeping without you by my side tonight. 🙁 But nevertheless, I still love you very much! MWAH!!”
The post went viral and sparked nostalgia especially for 90s babies who considered the two as the most popular love team during their time. Yan and Barretto starred in the hit series “Mula Sa Puso” and “Saan Ka Man Naroroon” and also top-billed movies like “Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita” and “Got 2 Believe.”
Rico died on March 29, 2002 due to hemorrhagic pancreatitis while on vacation at Dos Palmas Resort in Palawan. He and Claudine were considered one of the top 90s love teams.
