Leonardo Di Caprio Accepts ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Donates $100,000

Actor Leonardo Dicaprio did not only let himself get soaked in a giant bucket of ice water for a good cause. He also donated a hefty amount of money to ALS Association and challenge Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Dicaprio took to Facebook to share his video completing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge together with his friends Chief Adam of the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation, Chief Courtoreille of the Mikisew Cree First Nation and The Sierra Club President Michael Brune.

They all made their nominations before getting drenched in water. They nominated Dave Collyer president of Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers,Mark Little of Suncor Canada, Shell CEO Ben van Beurden and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.


Dicaprio also made his donation from Leonardo Dicaprio Foundation where according to E! source amounts to $100,000 for ALS research.

The Ice Bucket Challenge has already raised close to $80 million for ALS research purposes.
