The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) recently ordered popular Philippine fast food company Jollibee Foods Corporation to regularize more than 6,000 workers, as the agency continues its campaign to fight against contractualization.
According to media report, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Jollibee Foods Corp. Ernesto Tanmantiong will fully enforce the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) law to regularize their 7,000 employees.
Tanmantiong reiterated, the company supported the government’s fight to end “contractualization” and “endo” routine.
“[We] have instructed our service providers to regularize all our employees with the security of tenure and benefits . . . So we support President [Rodrigo] Duterte in ending contractualization,” Tanmantiong said.
An interview with Tanmantiong took place in Milan, Italy where the first branch of Jollibee opened in Europe.
