JayR elevates RnB music with a new album

We may not be seeing much of him on TV, but that doesn’t mean he has stopped doing what he loves most – making great music.

The RnB King JayR, who rose to fame with his classic hit ‘Bakit Pa Ba’,  is set to hit the music scene again with his brand new album.

Photos from his Instagram account reveals that JayR has been working on a new album titled Elevated. It has 9 tracks including Parachute which he released on iTunes on March 14, 2014. The song has been getting positive feedback. It made its way to the top 20 on Magic 89.9’s countdown, top 5 on Monster RX 93.1’s countdown and the MYX charts. It also includes his duet with YouTube sensation Marie Digby,  “Falling for You” and another duet, “Tonight” with Mica Javier, which ended up at the No.1 spot on Wave 89.1’s countdown.

JayR is no longer bound by an exclusive contract with GMA 7. Many of his followers expressed disappointment on Twitter when he was removed from Kapuso’s Sunday variety show Sunday All Stars but others expressed excitement with the idea of him transferring to ABS-CBN.

So far, he’s been busy with his own record label Homeworkz, supporting different artists such as Mica Javier, Q-york, Salbakuta and Kley. JayR is also part of Philpop 2014 and will interpret a song collaboration with Elmo Magalona and Q-York, Qrush on You. RnB fans were also thrilled about a possible duet with his long time stage partner and RnB Princess Kyla seen in their exchange of tweets.
