How This 9-Year Old Built a No-Kill Animal Shelter In His Garage

This 9-year old built a no-kill shelter in his garage in the Philippines for strays with a little help from the internet.

Animals are lit by a unique spark of creation: they are almost always unconditionally happy, are quick to befriend anyone – no matter their looks, background, or job, and are never afraid to show their true nature.

Ken did his best to help the local stray dogs and cats he came across near his home in the Philippines, he spent time with them and gave them food, but he needed funds to open a no-kill shelter where he could really help his furry friends, according to The Happy Animals Club website.

Then, a few months ago, photos of Ken with three strays made the rounds online and people from all over the world began to donate money.

“We got enough money to get the dogs I was feeding off the street, feed them high quality canned food, and provide them with veterinary care,” he wrote on his website.

“Here’s how they look after two months of care at Happy Animals Club. Their names are Blackie, Brownie, and White Puppy and they will be ready for adoption very soon!”
