FULL LIST: 28th Awit Awards Nominees, Kyla Leads Nominations

The Awit Awards, organized by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry or PARI recently announced its official list of nominees for 2015.

Awit Awards is an annual event aimed to recognize the best in the industry and pays tribute to the musical achievements of local OPM artists and musicians. It gives spotlight on performance, creativity, technical achievement, album packaging, excellence and music video.

This year, R&B Queen Kyla leads the pack with 8 nominations including Best Performance by a Female Recording Artist, Best R&B Recording, Song of the Year (Kunwa-Kunwari Lang), Best Rock/Alternative Recording, Best Inspirational/Religious Recording (Salbabida) and three nominations for Technical Achievement for her song Kunwa-Kunwari Lang from her Journey album.

Sarah Geronimo, who topped the 27th Awit Awards nomination, gets five nods this year with Gary Valenciano, Yeng Constantino, KZ Tandingan and Darren Espanto also getting their share of nominations.
