BREAKING: Massive 7.5 Magnitude Earthquake in Nepal, Tremors Felt Across Northern India

A powerful 7.5-magnitude earthquake has struck 80km east of the city of Pokhara, Nepal, the US Geological Survey said. Some buildings have reportedly collapsed in the capital, Kathmandu. Witnesses say that the tremors were also felt in India.

Shortly after the earthquake, the USGS raised the initial 7.5-magnitude of the quake to 7.9, CNN reported.

There have been no official reports of damage or injuries. However, Reuters witness said some buildings in Kathmandu had collapsed.

Locals on Twitter post numerous photos of apparent damage in Kathmandu and say there have been human losses following the earthquake. No official confirmation from the authorities has been released yet.
