An earthquake, 7.4 in magnitude and only 10km deep, has hit 68km west of Manche Bazar, Nepal, according to US Geological Survey.
It comes just a few weeks after a devastating 7.8-magnitude quake left over 8,000 people killed, and almost 18,000 injured.
According to news report, shockwaves were felt across northern India and as far away as the capital New Delhi, where buildings swayed for more than a minute and people scurried into the streets.
People in Kathmandu rushed outdoors, Reuters reporters said. There were no immediate reports of damage to buildings. Shopkeepers closed their shops.
