Highly anticipated film sequel “A Second Chance” now holds the record of being the highest grossing non-Metro Manila Film Festival Filipino movie on its opening day after earning a whopping P43.3 million during its opening day, November 25.
Star Cinema made the announcement on Instagram and thanked everyone who supported “A Second Chance”, the sequel to the hit movie “One More Chance,” starring Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz. “A Second Chance”, which story revolves around the married lives of Popoy (Cruz) and Basha (Alonzo), beat the record of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s rom-com movie “Crazy Beautiful You” which earned P32 million on its opening day.

Leading man John Lloyd Cruz also took to Instagram to thank everyone who have watched and supported the movie.
“Mula po sa Hong Kong Disneyland, ito po si John Lloyd Cruz nagpapasalamat sa lahat po ng nanood ng ‘A Second Chance’ sa aming first day. Thank you so much. Sa mga hindi pa nakakapanood, palabas na po ang ‘A Second Chance’ mula sa Star Cinema,” he said.
