Any fans of the dog Snoopy out there? Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox have a good news for you.
Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang are taking another crack at the big screen.
The latest Peanuts adventure is set to be a CGI animated 3D affair and will be the first feature film for Snoopy and the gang since the release of Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (and Don’t Come Back!!) in 1980. The story will bring together the entire cast from the strips and Bill Melendez’s famous television specials, from Pig-Pen to Peppermint Patty. It will also include the unveiling of Charlie Brown’s lifelong crush, known only as “the Little Red-Haired Girl.”
Slated to hit theatres in November 6 2015, the film will arrive in time to mark the 65th anniversary of the Peanuts comic strip and the 50th anniversary of the holiday TV classic A Charlie Brown Christmas.
Directed by Steve Martino (Ice Age: Continental Drift), “Peanuts” is written by Peanuts creator Charles Schulz’s son Craig, with his grandson Bryan and his writing partner Cornelius Uliano, with Paul Feig producing the film.
